With the background noise the tuner pick this up and makes screeching noises, just like when your cords aren’t plugged in correctly to your amp. You will be trying to tune one cord and it will be thinking your playing another. No matter how close or far away your phone is. Even if you have the settings on the instrument your trying to play and the cords your trying to get tuned. I took my guitar in to the shop and they said my guitar was so off tune from trying to tune it with this app and they even gave it a shot themselves. The app just doesn’t pick up sound and makes tuning impossible. Get a professional grade tuner and save yourself the trouble.

This used to be the gold standard tuning app and then it broke. I would pay for an update to have it back.

I’ve had this app for years it’s incredible like 50 different guitar books however the tuner never works I recently opened this app for the first time in years the tuner worked!! Then I upgraded to guitar toolkit + and…. Tuner doesn’t work again. What a shame great app a pity it’s not maintained

Last Update per Version History 2.6.0, 8 Years Ago, yet v2.4 is what downloaded. It works on my 7Plus 15.8.3 but Not on iPhone 15plus 18.3.1. I've used app for at least 8yrs and generally like it; sadly may have to look for another app. I sent info to them via app Feedback and the link also failed; go figure.

This app was wonderful, but with changes to the iOS the tuner no longer works regularly. This app needs to be updated.

tuner is useless

It has a print button that doesn’t work. I have no way to export pdfs of my chord sheets. Big bummer

It’s great in theory. But the guitar tuner doesn’t work and that’s a Buzzkill. Please fix that.

Purchase feature is faulty!

I got this app years and years ago. It was very useful for tuning all sorts of settings. Capos etc. Tuner does not work at all. Also you’re now stuck with a fretboard that shows chords. But you can’t just play notes individually any longer. You’re stuck with whatever chord they give you. Since the tuner doesn’t work you can’t even play the open strings!!

Deleted app and downloaded fresh but the tuner fails to display the meter. I can see another review 2 yrs old with the same issue. Apparently no fix and worse, no responses from the developer. Shame shame.

Who are used to work fine I use it all the time. I went to use it today and a guess what it doesn’t work anymore great update Apple.

Was the best app for guitarist now it is an ok and get separate tuner. Boo hisses no kisses here! Checked the microphone setting and it is on still will not tune!

I used this app for years, but now the tuner never activates. I’ve tried what I know, but it seems to no longer work. The signal below shows audio coming in, but no tuner.

Not a Tuner. It worked fine for a while then the needle on the tuner app portion was intermittent. Now it's just gone. Even tried to delete and reinstall. Still gone.

Tuner stopped working .

I’ve used this app for a few years and love it. Way beyond the basics of a tuner, and a metronome. This app has everything you can think of, alternate tunings, scales, chord scales, fingering, notes, intervals. If you like to experiment and don’t know what a chord’s called, a couple of taps and you’ll get all names depending on key. Pick a chord and see all voicing(s) up the neck. I can’t speak to their support team, I haven’t had a single reason to reach out to them.

The tuner does not work. I have access to microphone turned on, and I tried everything and still cannot get it to work.

‘Nuff said. that used to be my favorite app. Now it’s worthless.

I’ve used this app for years with great success but, under iOS 8 the tuner quit working. I just deleted the app and downloaded the Fender tuner. 😩

Tuner doesn't work on modern iPhones. Basically just a shell of what it used to be. Don't waste your time on this.

I payed to downloaded the app. After testing I’d like my money back since I can’t try the good features. Next time I read the reviews. Apple should also disclose the full cost not only the demo price. Trick or treat! Sorry this is a trick!

Title says it all. Move on to another app. Worked for years but not any more. 8 years since an update. Worthless.

I loved using this app, but they haven’t updated it and the tuner doesn’t work anymore. Very disappointed.

I actually paid for this app, thinking that meant it would continue to be supported. Now the tuner doesn’t work. They just took our money and abandoned us. Horrible.

noooo! this used to be my go-to tuner - i even paid for add on features. stopped working on my iphone 13 . no updates available after years of using it. avoid this so and look elsewhere -

Great app and have used it for years but then suddenly the tuner no longer works which was half the value of the app. What happened?..

One of my most used apps until an update caused the tuner to stop working, which was probably the feature I used most!

I purchased no this app years ago and loved it for a very long time. But within the last year, the tuner has stopped working. So sad… I will update my review if the tuner ever starts working again. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this app…

This app used to be amazing but is now total garbage. I feel like I’ve won the lottery if I can ever actually use the tuner. Most of the time it registers nothing, sometimes there’s input but no reading on the meter. Such a shame, but it’s really trash now so don’t bother.

This is still a great app. I found the problem with the tuner might be a display issue. If you switch the high contrast option on and off the tuner works again. Hope this helps those who still own the app or for people that get it and can’t get the tuner to work. The downside is that the app no longer seems to be supported so it might stop working in the future :(

This used to be such a utilitarian workhorse… tuner, metronome, chords… boom. And I paid for the full app. Tuner hasn’t worked in months now i gotta get something else. Don’t download, doesn’t work.

As others have said, the tuner is broken. Like, really broken. Which was one of the main reasons I bought this for. And like others have also said, pretty sure this company is no longer in existence...which is a shame. Hasn't been an update in 7 years or so. Apple should really just remove it from the app store, or remove the paid version. Only thing this app is good for now is figuring out the the name of a chord you're holding, or finding the fingerings for a certain chord.

Tuner no longer works

Like others complaining, the tuner stopped working. Sometimes I can get it to show the needle by switching instrument then back. But even then, it will intermittently go spastic. I keep checking to see if there is a fix but need to move on. It’s sad because this used to be a great app.

I bought the app long time ago tuner was the best thing on this app with the new iPhone updates tuner stopped working but it still works in my iPad I kept the app on my iPhone to use the metronome it’s a great app I guess the company who designed it went out of business they made their money don’t care about their customers app issues wish some new company will take over and make the app work again

As others have mentioned the tuner stopped working reliably several os versions ago. I thought it could have been my older phone but same on latest iPhone version. Tip……toggle the contrast mode on the tuner once or twice and it will work for the current session.

My tuner also defies me! It’s weird though if your at tuner and it don’t hear you, switch back to a place you can pluck a note, let I ring and switch back, it starts working.

Love this app except a missing, optional feature. It seems someone or a group of people at this company have a very stubborn mindset of not adding this extremely helpful feature. By not showing all notes, you have to constantly arrow back and forth to see the notes around the scale box. So annoying! An optional, “Show all notes of scale” like the iPad feature would really help with scale practice up and down the fretboard.

Been 7 years since it’s been updated.

I paid for this years ago and now my paid access went away.

Don’t buy this. Used to be great. Stopped working. Wish they would update it but it’s now a total waste of time.
